Do not think about religion! Think about India!

Following the recent bomb blasts in Bangalore and Ahmedabad I was having a discussion
with some colleagues about “what should be done”. Some of the comments I got were
plain disgusting, completely lacking in any wisdom and so different from my vision of what
India should be. My vision of India is one in which Caste, Religion etc are unimportant.

Only India is important!

My vision of India is summed up in the following words by Rabindranath Tagore:

Where the mind is without fear and the head held high;
Where knowledge is free;
Where the world has not been broken up into fragments by narrow domestic walls;
Where words come out from the depth of truth;
Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection;
Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way into the dreary desert sand of dead habit;
Where the mind is led forward by Thee into ever-widening thought and action;
Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake.
